This walk-through takes an issuer wallet from nothing to an asset that only eligible wallets can hold. Every step is a transaction your wallet signs in the Issuer section.
Steps#
-
Connect your issuer wallet. The wallet that creates a rule set and a mint becomes their issuer.
-
Write a rule set. Give it a name holders will recognize, then set the conditions of each group: residency, minimum investor status, minimum age, and how recent the screening must be. Add up to four groups; a holder passes when every condition in at least one group holds. Choose how long a pass may last, then Sign and create.
-
Add pass funds. Each pass Writ records against your rule set pays the pass fee from the rule set's pass funds. Enter an amount in Pass funds in SOL when you create it, or add funds later under Pass funds, which shows how many passes they cover. Holders only prove; the fee is yours to pay. Withdraw returns unused funds to your wallet.
-
Create and bind a mint. Under Mints, pick the rule set and the decimals, and decide whether senders need a live pass too. Create and bind asks for two signatures: one creates a Token-2022 mint with Writ's transfer hook, the other binds it to the rule set and hands its mint authority to Writ.
-
Wait for passes. Holders prove your rule set from their passports. Your rule sets shows how many wallets hold a live pass for each.
-
Issue. Under Issue, choose the mint, enter a holder's wallet and an amount. The form shows whether the wallet holds a live pass before you sign. The app opens the holder's token account if it does not exist yet, then issues.
