Create, bind and issue

A Writ-hooked mint, its binding, and issuance.

A Writ asset is a Token-2022 mint whose transfer hook is Writ and whose mint authority Writ holds. The Issuer section creates one, binds it to your rule set, and issues to eligible holders.

Create and bind#

  1. Choose the rule set the mint enforces, and the decimals: 0, 2, 6 or 9.

  2. Decide on sender checks. Ticked, a transfer needs a live pass on both sides. Unticked, only the receiving wallet is checked.

  3. Create and bind. Two transactions:

    • Create the mint: a new Token-2022 mint with one extension, TransferHook, pointing at Writ with no authority left to change it, your wallet as mint authority and a supply of zero.
    • Bind it: Writ records the binding and the hook's extra account list, and takes the mint authority into the binding.

Binding a mint you created elsewhere works the same way, as long as it has zero supply, exactly the TransferHook extension pointing at Writ with no hook authority, and your wallet as mint authority.

Issue#

  1. Choose the mint and enter the holder's wallet. The form reads whether the wallet holds a live pass for the mint's rule set; issuing is only offered when it does.

  2. Enter the amount in whole units, with up to the mint's decimals.

  3. Sign and issue. If the holder has no token account for the mint yet, the app opens one first, paid by your wallet. Writ checks the holder's pass again in the issuing transaction, then mints.

Mints lists each bound mint with how much has been issued so far.
