Receive and send

Token accounts, recipient checks and what the hook answers.

Assets bound to Writ move like any Token-2022 token; the transfer hook adds one condition: the receiving wallet holds a live pass for the asset's rule set.

Receive#

An issuer or another holder can send you an asset once you hold a live pass for its rule set. Your token account for the asset is opened by whoever sends first, so you need do nothing more. Received assets appear under Your assets in the Passport.

Send#

  1. Press Send next to the asset under Your assets.

  2. Enter the recipient's wallet. The app reads the recipient's standing as you type: whether the wallet holds a live pass for the asset's rule set, has no credential, or has a credential without a live pass.

  3. Enter the amount in whole units, with up to the asset's decimals.

  4. Sign and send. If the recipient has no token account for the asset yet, the app first opens one, which you sign and pay the rent for. Then it sends the transfer.

When a transfer is refused#

The app simulates every transfer before your wallet signs, so a transfer the hook would refuse stops before anything is sent. It tells you why:

Sending from another wallet or venue#

Any wallet or venue that uses Token-2022's standard transfer with the hook's extra accounts can move a bound asset; the same check runs in that transaction.
